Do you mean the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid at http://ocfa.islandnet.com?

It shows spouses Agnes B. (Allison) and Edward Farrell resting in St. Joseph's cemetery in Brantford, Ontario. I can check tomorrow to see if a transcription of that cemetery's headstones is available at the library.

No luck. The Central Reference Library has transcriptions for a handful of Brant County cemeteries but nothing for St. Joseph's. While I was there, I had a look at the Brantford city directories. They start with 1967 and I found no trace of the Farrells in the half-dozen directories I looked at.

The Archives of Ontario has an extensive collection of cemetery transcriptions but it looks like they don't have St. Joseph's either: http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/archival-records/interloan/cemetery-brant.aspx

Unless a Rootschatter from Brantford steps up, you'll have to contact the cemetery directly (http://www.thecatholiccemeteries.ca/directory/stJosephBrant.cfm).

With the reference info from OCFA site, you can contact the contributing organization to get more information.  The directions are on the website.

Let us know when you get a date of death and I'll see if I can pull the obituary for you.

Hi,

It looks like the Brant section of the Ontario Genealogical Society has transcribed St. Joseph Cemetery.  See number 213 on their Publications List.   It looks like the transcripton was done recently, so that is why it isn't showing up in the Ontario Archives or the Toronto Public Library.

http://brantcountybranchogs.ca/

I doubt that you want to purchase the transcript - 20 dollars for one lookup is a bit expensive :o !  When you look under Queries, it seems that they will do a look up based on the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid results - for a fee of five dollars.

The Brantford Library will do genealogical lookups for you - but also for a fee.   :P

This explains what resources they have and what services they can provide.

Hopefully someone has a copy of the cemetery transcript and will do a lookup for free.
