Samuel STOCK of Gosfield and Martha PATIENT of Weathersfield

Samuel and Martha married in 1838 (registration district Halstead).  I have them on the census from 1841 going forward but am at a loss as to their parents as I cannot find a baptism for either of them.  Samuel was born c1820 in Gosfield and Martha was born c1817 in Weathersfield although all the census give varying birth dates.

Any information on their parentage would be great as at the moment they are both my brick walls.  Trying to keep costs down hence have not yet sent for the marriage certificate just in case someone can do a look up for me.

I am also researching the Stock family of those villages. If they wed in 1838 you can send off for the cert so that you can get their fathers names and occupations.

I posted my query in the hope someone may be able to help as I am trying to keep costs down.  No luck so far and it may be that I will have to send for the marriage certificate but will wait a little longer before doing so.

Someone may just have the info I am looking for.
