A tricky one.  He died before the censuses start so you don't have definite clue that he was born in Ireland.  You don't know which part of Ireland, if he was.  There are no records of migration from Ireland to England.

I suppose you could search for other Fallons in the area who survive to be recorded on the census, in the hope that they might be family members and provide clues.

Chowns in Buckinghamshire
Broad, Eplett & Pope in St Ervan/St Columb Major, Cornwall
Browning & Moore in Cambridge, St Andrew the Less
Emms, Mealing & Purvey in Cotswolds, Gloucestershire
Barnes, Dunt, Gray, Massingham in Norfolk
Higho in London
Matthews & Nash in Whichford, Warwickshire
Smoothy, Willsher in Coggeshall & Chelmsford, Essex

Many thanks for that.
The only link i have with Ireland is that the name Fallon is of Irish origin. The Fallons also lived in an area in Wton/Willenhall known as "Little Ireland" - presume that thus named in vewi large Irish community in that location.
I did come into contact with some else searching the same name  who stated that the family story was he came over from Ireland with his brother. Sadly lost contact with that source so unable to verify in any way.

Will try as you say and soldier on.
