Record of joining up
« on: Monday 02 May 11 20:23 BST (UK) »
My cousin is anxious to obtain more information about his 3x great grandfather , Richard Malone who was a private in the 64th Regiment of Foot from 1800 - 1816. He has Richard's discharge papers but really wants more information about when and where he signed up. The main info. required is the name of the next of kin that might have been given. Do such papers exist and if so where could they be found.
Looking forward with hope that someone can provide an answer.

Thanks Trevor. My cousin will be really disappointed as both he and my late ucle have been searching for years to find that elusive ancestor.
