1871 look up please

Would be grateful for a look up on 1871 census for

Peter BRISLAND    aged   43   born Glasgow
Mary       "                         45           Lyme Regis Dorset

and any children.

Should be in Chatham area BUT in 1891 surname was spelt BRISBAIND!  No sign of then 1881

Any help much appreciated

It might be quite useful if you could post the whole of the 1891 census entry if they're not showing up easily in 1881 - can't see them in 1871 yet - as (taking a quick peek) I see that there is a whole host of family in 1891 and they may be easier to find with more clues.

In 1871 the SYM family are living in the same property as the BRYSONs that Arranroots has found (see above posting) which would almost certainly clarify that it is the same family that you have listed in 1891:

Andrew SYM married (possibly) Sarah Ann THOMAS 1868 Medway RD.
