Hi

Just come across an ancestor who lists his occupation as Pantomist.

Nothing coming up on Google.

Anybody any ideas.

Thanks

Could it be Pantomimist?

1: an actor or dancer in pantomimes
2: a composer of pantomimes

You get some hits if you search on Google Books. Looks as though it would be used for actors who used mime, or actors in the silent films perhaps.
Is that likely, or could it be mis-spelled?

Thanks for the replies.

Beginning to think it must be a spelling mistake and therefore should be Pantomimist.
