how do i know if im on the right track for william weatherhogg

i recently found out wiliam  weatherhogg age when he died in east retford he died in 1933 age 54which would of made him born around1880-1881 and there are two williams born around then both in lincolnshire so how do i go about this with not knowing where he came from or the name of his parents his daughter doesnt know much about him as she was 6 when he died

If it was me, I'd look first for his marriage certificate. That would give you his occupation and also his father's name and occupation - a bit more to work on!

ive tried looking for his marriage but nothing has come up i knew he was married as their daughters certificate  says her mothers name was formerly long although the trade of william was a blast furnaceman

I'm looking on the familyrelatives site now, which is indexed up until 1920.

Two marriages are showing in that area

William Thompson Weatherhogg Jun 1908 Gainsborough 7a 1894
William T Weatherhogg Mar 1914 Glanford brigg 7a 1191 spouses maiden name Marris

Don't know if either of these will be amy use to you!

yes they definetly are  it must be william thompson  weatherhogg first marriage although its not in the time span his daughter gave me for her half brothers birth but then  i should bear in mind she is 80 but thanks ever so much this has been doing my head in at least it will solve 1 part thankyou
