Royal Oak Pub, Exminster COMPLETED THANK YOU
« on: Tuesday 10 May 11 05:56 BST (UK) »
Hi all

Can anyone tell me please if the Royal Oak pub which suffered a fire in March 2009 would have been the same building as "Royal Oak" in the 1841 census - publican Mary Tapp?

And after the fire, was the building demolished or restored?

thanks, gladyseva

a newspaper report states pub re-opened in 2010 .

On 1841 census pub is close to duck street , today its on corner of Berrybrook meadow and Main Road which adjoins Lower Duck Street. It could be same building .
