where are you based ?

other joining a subscription website like IrishNewsArchive or the Irish Times, the best place to check would be in the National Library in Dublin. Since you know an exact date it should be easy enough to check. For a Dublin city death I think I'd try the Irish Independent and maybe the Irish Times first since these were city based but also covered national items.

They recently changed some procedures for ordering and delivery of items - so have a look at their website before you go ...

Thanks, Shane.

I'm actually going there tomorrow, so I'll look it up then. That's great. Do you know if The Kerryman
was published back then?

Gerry.

there are a few different editions of the Kerryman that they hold... but the main one seems to be Tralee, and it covers the dates you need.

  April 3, 1909 - April 16, 1921
  Jan 5, 1924 - June 13, 1925
  July 25, 1925 - to date
  (Microfilm / Not published Apr. 23, 1921 - 1923)

There's a link to the list of newspapers they hold somewhere - if can can find it again I'll post it
