1861 census Elgin, James Allan
« on: Tuesday 26 April 05 02:39 BST (UK) »
Would someone kindly look up the 1861 census for Elgin for James Allan born 1837 and his wife Helen Galloway Allan born 1839.  They may have a son James born 1861.  They were living in High Street when they got married so hopefully they are still there.
Yours gratefully
Kris

Hi Heather,
Thank you for trying.  James and Helen were married 2 Jan 1860 in Elgin.  James was a Tailor.  I have both their christening dates from the LDS site, thank you.   I have tried the Moray site before, but will give it another go.
Best regards
Kris ;) :D
