I have an OPR birth from 1827 on which the father, John BLAIR, is described as a 'Teacher Banheath'. Does anyone have knowledge of school(s) in Banheath at that time. The birth was registered in Kirkintilloch.
CRUST - Kent (Kingsnorth, Mersham)
BEATON - Isle of Mull

The Second Statistical Account from the 1830s should mention schools in the parish of Blackford, which contains Banheath.
