Oxfordshire Wills

Does anyone know how you go about finding out if someone left a will or not? (I've already checked out the wills on the Oxon FHS website).

You can check the Prerogative Court of Canterbury's wills index online at the National Archives:

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/wills.asp

or contact the Oxfordshire Record Office to see if they have anything.

The origins site has the wills index but I dont think it as yet has the transcribed wills. I was looking the other day.

I don't suppose it will ever be more than an index (as previously printed by the British Record Society).
