Hi Plewsy,

These entries are taken from the Berks Burial Index (ex BFHS);

Tilehurst, St.Michael;
8-8-1975        Mary Agnes Dingwall (79), address - 32, Armour Hill, Tilehurst    extra -  Ashes
19-11-1977    Charles             "      (86)       "                 "          "        "             "           "

Strangley I can't find any reference to them being cremated in the crematorium in Caversham.

Hope this helps.

Hi plewsy,

I purchased the Berks Burial Index CD from the Berks Family History Society
about 3 months ago.

So far as baptism records go, were your g.aunt/uncle baptised in Tilehurst ?  I don't
hold copies of that parish records so it would mean making another request
for a lookup in Tilehurst.

Do you know where they were born/baptised?

I don't think the PRs for Tilehurst are available on line, certainly not from
1885 (marriages) and 1875 (baptisms).
But to see what is available you could try the following  address and select the parish name. This is from the Family search org. (LDS)

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountyBerkshire.htm

Hope this helps

Hi Plewsy,

If you know your mother's name and date of birth, why don't you apply for a copy
of her birth certificate. It should show who her father was.

Alternatively, why not post a fresh lookup request with her name and birth details, but not
if any one is still living or whose details would reveal  their identity
,  as I think that is against the rules.

Hi Alan
 The Birth Cert doesnt have the fathers name on it and i was hoping the Christening records would .
we know who it is but to have it in writing would be great .
her name was Patricia Carlin
thanks
