Whistone County Gaol?
« on: Tuesday 26 April 05 18:36 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone

I have a problem, as most do!!!  I have 2 family members, who were imprisoned, one through the court on 30th March 1855 for illtreatment of his 8 mths old son at Stourbridge.  Although it was only Thomas Heneford's name given, for whatever reason both he and his wife Mary Ann went to gaol.  We know this because their daughter Sarah Ann was born there on 21st July 1855.

Does anyone know how we could get hold off or purchase a copy of the case?  That is if there is one such thing available!!

The name Heneford is a variant of Hennefer/Hennifer/Henefer/Henneford etc.  Hennefer being the one found in most following data that we have found.  These also being found in Stafford, Warwick, and surrounding areas the up to the North West of England and of course the USA.

Thanks in advance

Pam H.
