1891 jobs help please - COMPLETED
« on: Friday 20 May 11 03:46 BST (UK) »
Hello, this if from 1891 marriage in the Landward District of Falkirk, Scotland.
Any idea what their jobs are?

Samuel Mills       Greenhill
  grooms job?       Falkirk
Bachelor

Anthony Dent
father-in-laws job?
(deceased)

to me the second one looks like it might be Chemical Work Labourer ?
Marks (cornwall, devon), Pennie (stirlingshire),
Robertson (perthshire, scotland), Swanston (roxburghshire, berwickshire)

Hello,

Welcome to RootsChat :)

I'd say Samuel Mills was a Brickmaker
and Anthony Dent - Chemical Work Labourer (as you say)

Thank you for the reply Alexander.
I think you may be right as the first letter matches the B in Bachelor and the K look the same in Falkirk.

Found Samuel in Carron in 1921 as what looks like a Bricksmiths? Foreman
