Yelland possible divorce
« on: Tuesday 26 April 05 19:30 BST (UK) »
Thomas HB Yelland and his wife Ethel can't be found in the 1920 census. I am wondering if they divorced, because in1918 Thomas' son Roy was next of kin. Thomas died in California in 1953.
I was told that Ethel lived in Philadelphia in 1941 but I don't know anything else.
Where would I find divorce and remarriage information please.

You would have to know the place this took place.  Vitals would be registered with the local government- either the county or the town the event took place.  Depending on the date, it could be with the state.

Check the state you think it would have occurred.

Here is the link for PA-

Thank-you for the information.Unfortunately I don't know where Ethel lived in Philadelphia.
