sorry all i have is a copy of a photo that was amounst my greatgrandmothers things.I was wondering if anyone recognised the style of jacket that may help me identify the photo.
I know it`s a longshot but I know how great you lot are

It looks like a flying jacket c.1920's.

I have seen a pic of Charles Lindberg in a similar flying coat, indeed there is a resemblance to Lindberg don't you think?

Hello Michelle,
Your chap is wearing a Sidcot Suit, a one piece flyer's overall designed by the amazing Sidney Cotton in The First World War.
This piece of kit became pretty widespread in the 1930s by both civilian and military pilots and was used by the RAF well into the 1940s.
My instinct is that this is a proud "Brylcreem Boy" posing in the early 1940s.
