Edinburgh Industrial Brigade Home
« on: Saturday 21 May 11 17:09 BST (UK) »
Hi, new to this board. I have some glass slides/lantern slides labelled EIBH which I believe was a home for working lads (the Edinburgh one). They seem to have camped in Gullane quite a lot. These are part of a collection that we are breaking up and before they are thrown out I thought I would do some research and see if anyone would have an interest.

Brotherhood of the Round Table

Hi, just another few lantern slides/glass slides, labelled with Brotherhood of the Round Table. They are clearly nothing to do with what we all know as 'The Round Table' but a club started by a couple of brothers - Ernest and Scott Turner. They may or may not have been boys who were at the Edinburgh Industrial Brigade Home for Working Lads in Edinburgh.

Hi,

I believe my great grandfather Hugh Cumming was in an Industrial Home in Edinburgh in 1901.  Do you know when your plates date from?

Kind regards,

Debbie.

Hi, Have seen your message re: glass slides of the EIB Home. My great grandfather as a boy, was in the Home. I am writing a book about his life, including when he was in the Home and have been looking for pictures of the Home etc. When do your slides date from? I would love to see them. I have not been able to find any pictures so far and I would love to see these, to include as illustrations.
