Theydon Garnon, Essex Baptisms
« on: Wednesday 25 May 11 21:03 BST (UK) »
I am not sure if this is the correct place to place this but here goes.

I am trying to trace the baptism of Thomas Brewer believed to be born in 1823 in the above village.

Father could be John and  mother Martha

unable to find anything on a baptism for Thomas but I did find this:

27 September 1833
Removal order: Martha Brewer, widow, and sons Joseph, aged 11, and Thomas, aged 9, from THEYDON GARNON to Saffron Walden.

The removal order is dated 1833,

Any idea when her husband died?

Maybe it ties in with 1833 and as she was unable to work with young children may have been sent to her own parish under poor law regs
