Robert Calder Whiterig Berwickshire
« on: Friday 27 May 11 22:45 BST (UK) »
I have family history from 1851 when Robert Calder and his wife Martha Hood emigrated to Australia. I will be in Scotland in July 2011 and wanted to  visit the area they came from but I can't find any information on Whiterig. Does anyone know where it is/was? or what it is called now?
Regards

Try this site - I found Whiterig there, in the parish of Ayton, Berwickshire

Thanks for the link I've plotted Whiterig on a map an should be able to get there as I won't be staying too far away.

I am sorry that I didnt see your post before.

There is a Whitrig on the A697 road between Coldstream and Greenlaw on the left just before Orange Lane (B6461).

I am aware of Woods farming there.
