where's my firefox gone?

 Hi, I need the wizards again please.

 Tried to download the new firefox version 4, but just got a blank screen with a google/firefox  box in the centre of page.
  No address bar , toolbar, etc.
  What did I do wrong? In simple terms please help,  Thanks Dolly

Did it download at all ?
Is it in your list of progs ?

  No Jim I dont think it downloaded, I had nothing but the white screen and firefox /google box . Hubby messed about a little with it ,  with  no luck, so am using sons laptop
       We are not technically minded, especially these days!   Dolly

Have you tried downloading it again?
I've just downloaded it without any problems.
As you are using another PC is yours now unusable?
Have you tried another browser such as Opera or IE9 ?

Has it maybe gone 'full screen'?  Try pressing F11. 

When you say there's a Google / Firefox box, is this a search box?  That sounds like it has downloaded.
