The baptism of Henry Horsely Newton was 25 Oct 1771, born 27 Feb 1771 son of Edward and Jane Newton. No other information although there is a + at the end of the line in my index as were on a few others and I don't know what that means.
In general the marriages in this time period do not give much information such as parentage and yours reads:
3 Noc 1770, Edward Newton, ba, of this parish and Jane Horsely of the same parish (and late of the parish of Bolam) married by license by W Holden, curate, wit: Joseph Clark and Thomas Rennison Thomas was a frequent witness.
You can find the license on pages 676- 677 of 805 in the Marriage Bonds and Allegations. Both attested to being 21 or over in age, both never married before. Joseph Clark was one of the signatures on the licinse application.
When a marriage says they were of this parish means that they met the requirement for living in Morpeth for a certain period of time not necessarily that they were born there.
