Hello  :)

I found a birth of a James Plunkett born 1852 in Crosserlough, Co. Cavan to Michael Plunkett and Elizabeth Reilly. There's also 5 other children in Crosserlough to the same parents:

Thomas Plunkett 1845
Patrick Plunkett 1848
Mary Plunkett 1850
Michael Plunkett 1858

There's a James Plunkett and Michael Plunkett living in Lecharry, Crosserlough on the Griffiths Valuation of Ireland.

I got all this information from www.rootsireland.ie

Regards,

Annie
The surnames, which I am interested in are; Maternal side: Ryan, Kevin, Grant, Grady, Gleeson, Walsh, Dwyer, Paternal side: O' Dwyer, Woodlock, Rochford & Britton - all in Tipperary; and Kelly and Hoynes in Laois.

Hi all,

On the 1821 Census, you will find James Plunkett (b 1781) in Lecharry, Crosserlough with his wife Mary, and sons, Thomas and Connor.

Connor Plunkett was a sponsor to Bridget Brady’ baptism in 1846.

This is my family connection comes in.

Bridget is the sister of James Brady, b 1860 to Bernard (Bryan) Brady and Mary Plunkett.

Mary Plunkett would be the daughter of James and Mary Plunkett.

In relation to your query, Michael Plunkett married Elizabeth Reilly in 1844.

Children as below.

Just need to add, Elizabeth who was on in Feb 1854.  In 1884, she married Matthew Brady.

Bernard Brady and his wife, Mary (nee Plunkett) was Elizabeth’ sponsors when she got baptised.

James Plunkett, (father of Thomas, Connor, Mary and Michael) passed away on 15 Aug 1866 at a fantastic age of 85.

His funeral was on the 18 Aug 1866.

I’m still working on this family, so more information will be available.

Speak soon.

James
