ST MILDRED, CANTERBURY BURIALS
« on: Tuesday 07 June 11 16:58 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have any burial records for St Mildred's Church, Canterbury?  Am trying to find out whether the following burials were at St Mildred's or in Canterbury Cemetery.

George Horton died 28.01.1855 (aged 28) (buried 04.02.1855 Canterbury)
(Son) George Jamieson Horton died 24.10.1855 (aged 6 months) (buried 28.10.1855 Canterbury)

I wondered whether they may have been buried in same plot.

Several of his wife's family were buried in St Mildred's (Bennett Andrews and Effield Maria Andrews) hence the reason for wondering if they may have been also - the records for St Mildred's seem to go up to 1855 and presume after that year they are in Canterbury Cemetery?

According to transcripts of the Canterbury Burial Index, George Horton & George Jamieson Horton were both buried in St Mildred's.
No plot details are given in the index.

Thank you Betty for one mystery solved - I was in that area last year to find the Andrews grave, looks as if I will have to visit again to try to find this one! (or maybe two!).

If anyone else has details of the graves in that churchyard I would be most grateful.
