The reason why I am putting this under New Zealand  Is that I know family of Donald had been placing requests in the year 2000.  The person is CATHY
I am hoping that someone in New Zealand related to Donald will make contact with me.

Thought I would put a bit more info on here.

Correction and update to my own posting! Donald was christened 12 Apr 1725 at Luss, son of Alexander McNeill and Mary Currie. Donald married Margaret McFarlane and had a son Alexander, who married (1st)Janet Colquohoun 12 June 1772 and (2nd) Jean McFarlane 10 Mar 1785. From the 2nd marriage, son James married Anne McFarlane. They had eight children and moved to NZ.

Janet Colquohoun 12 June 1772 -  I am related to Janet Colquohoun in other words the first marraige.

Found the link and connection to NZ
Andrew's son James b.1799 m. Jean McFarlane 10 Mar 1785 in the Parish Church of Luss. Andrew and Jean had eleven children. Tenth child James m. Anne McFarlane 30 Apr 1821 in Luss. They had eight children and moved to the south island of New Zealand in 1849.

Janet C (his first wife) their daughter Janet married a James Ward who was stationed in South Africa (Army) in 1806-1819.   Their eldest daughter Elizabeth Ward married William McLuckie these are my gr-gr grandparents.
How do you fit in?  Were your ancestors from the 1st or 2nd marraige?  Are you in New Zealand?

From his 2nd marriage....

their son James McNeil/Ann Mcfarlane who came to NZ in 1849 on the ship Mooltan - I have a great deal of information on the families in NZ, and quite abit about their lives in Scotland.. I also have a book written by J.Little that has a wealth of information in it... she has since died but travelled to Scotland to do research on the Family Tree.

Stuart James McNeil was my father and yes I live in NZ.
