I was wondering if anyone has access to the Kirby Grindayth Parish Register. I have an ancestor Margaret Lamplugh who married George Etherington there in Nov 1691. I suspect her father was the Christopher Lamplugh who baptisted a son John there 10 Nov 1684 (IGI).
I have also found records of an Ann Lampley born to Christopher at Wharram Percy in 1677, a Christopher Lampley marrying a Jane Hodgson at Weaverthorpe on 21/8/1687 and a Jane Lamplugh (wife of Christopher) buried at Garton on the Wolds 15/5/1705 all of whom may refer to the same person. The IGI may have missed some entries, and maybe their may be some burial of Lamplughs at Kirkby Grindalyth that may provide clues between 1670 and 1700.
A John Lamplugh married a Ruth Hodgson at Garton on the Wolds on 29/6/1675 and had a son Christopher in 1684, who I believe was also related. The Hodgsons could be sisters.
It is a bit hard when I am 10,000km from the archives!
