summer assizes 1831
« on: Friday 10 June 11 23:02 BST (UK) »
Can anyone recommend places to look or enquire for the Summer Assizes in Mayo 1831?
I am looking for information regarding a person John Meally labourer born in 1798 who was sentenced at this trial to seven years in the colony. I am hoping his details will include family details of those he left behind in Ireland.
I suspect he is my relative but have nothing to prove it.  This may prove it if I can find some details that corresponds.
Any help would be appreciated as I have traced family in Australia but have no definite links back into Mayo where my family came from.
