I would love to compare notes with anyone researching these surnames in the Portpatrick area.
I have:
Patrick McKELVIE (1728- ), son of John McKELVIE & Catherine STEENSON.
Married 1748 Janet STEVENSON (1728- ), daughter of William STEENSON & Jane STEENSON.
Thomas McKELVIE (1769- ), son of the above Patrick & Janet.
Married 1794 Jean DRYNAN. They moved to America sometime after 1812.
I am new to research in Scotland, but have located the Old Parish birth & marriage records for Patrick & Janet, and the birth & marriage record for Thomas (I have not located the birth record for Jean DRYNAN).
Looking for any connections.
