thornton lookup gloucestershire please

can some one please help me, my great x2 grandmother was born in 1840 stow on the wold in gloucester ,
her name was hannah jane mortimer thornton,
her parents were mary hart and james thornton .
 
i have no idea where her parents were born , i have mary and hannah on the 1851 census mary was a widow,
is it possible to get them on the 1841 census?

her parents were obviously in gloucester as there daughter was born there i have looked everywhere and im getting quite disheartened by this family if anyone can help me i would appreciate it.
i have hannahs birth cert but all it says is her parents name and stow on the wold as residence. james was a tailor.

Hannah Thornton, age 9 months born in county

Mary Stiles, 59, Journeyman Shoemaker, Born Dartmouth, Devon
Hannah Thornton, 20, Dress Maker, Born Stow

   According to the 1851 census for Stow on the Wold Mary Thornton was born in Oakhampton Devon.

I hope this finds you as it was quite some time since you last logged in.  I am also researching James Thornton.  Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of his death certificate?  It's strange how his age at his death was 50 and born 1795 yet his age on the 1841 census says he's 40 making his birth year 1801.  Have you since then solved this mystery
