Date Army uniform
« on: Sunday 19 June 11 19:48 BST (UK) »
Hi could anyone please tell me anything about this uniform or maybe the date it was taken. The photo has a thickish postcard back, square corners with a small band of white running around the outside. I dont have the original and I didnt know about scanning the back,(new to this). On the back in pencil was the name Barron. There was also written Dundee and Tranmere or Transmere. My Barrons came from Durham and Northumberland, thanks.

Post 1920 - pre WW2,  Royal Artillery Driver or Gunner. The crossed flags on his sleeve show he was a qualified signaller.

Small world - schooner has posted a man wearing the same uniform - http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,537701.0.html
