children of james and lucy blyth. whos missing?
« on: Tuesday 21 June 11 15:05 BST (UK) »
i have looked at the 1911 census for this family and james states that him and his wife had 12 children in total 8 living and 4 dead. i have all 8 living children but am missing the 4. this might sound really daft but i would like to add these desceased children to my tree, as a mother i would like to think that someone would do it for me, should god forbid the worst ever happen.

the children i have living are;
 eva mary 1894 wokingham berkshire
elisha bertie 1894 wokingam
edwin james 1896 wokingham
jack 1898 henley oxfordshire
william thomas 1898 henley
lucy margaret 1900 henley
george 1904 henley
adelaide 1905 henley

on the 1911 census eva isnt home but she is still living, and lucy margaret isnt there but i cant find her death.

i have done a quick search for children born in this time period and in these two places and there are only really one or two that could make sense.
so far i have found arthur james blyth born in henley 1906 and died 1906 so i am pretty sure this is one of them.

so if lucy has died and this arthur is another one, where are the other 2?

Hi

There is the death of a Florence Blyth aged 2 in Henley in the March quarter of 1904. This would give a birth in 1902 which fits between Lucy and George.

There is also a birth of an Alice Blyth in the March quarter of 1903. As all the other's seem to belong to the same family this could be another one, but I cant see a death before 1911 for her.

just had a look at some hints on my tree and someone has lucy margaret marrying later in life, so maybe she didnt die. i might have to look into her life a bit more.

About 8 miles according to Google Earth. The only way to find out would be to get the certificate and hope one of the parents registered it.
