Mary Hansford married George Clothier 6 MAR 1853

Hello,

I have a Mary daughter of Thomas Hansford and Eliza whom I trying to find out some information about.  Eliza Stone married Thomas Hansford 31st July 1831 in Maiden Newton.

Mary Hansford married a George Clothier 16 MAR 1853 Upper Cerne, Dorset, England

George Clothier age 20 (son of George Clothier) m Mary Hansford age 20 (daughter of Thomas Hansford)


The 1851 Upcerne census is exciting as we not only find Mary but living right next door is her future husband George Clothier, it state her place of birth as about 1832 in Wynford Eagle. It sates her father is born Askerwell. I have been unable to find Mary's birth place/date or her parents.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Trudy

As you have Mary with sister Ann (3 months) on 1841 CR, why not get Ann's birth certificate to confirm their mother's maiden name?

Seems to be more than one Thomas Hansford  around at that time.

Just a thought.
