anyone researching moore family? from Troon or irvine

I'm looking for any info to confirm whether my Charles Moore was indeed born in Irvine. On his marriage cert it says his parents were William Henry Moore & Alice Mary Mckenzie. born in 1862 or 1852. But I am yet to find anything that places any of these people in Irvine or Troon.
 Can anyone help? I understand Moore can be spelt in many dif ways etc
