« on: Saturday 02 July 11 10:33 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone I do hope that you are all well.   ;) I would like any information on Ann Cook of Notgrove Co. Glos, she married on the 27/11/1710 to a John Mansell of Turkdean I have found a great lot about John Mansell thanks to others also searching for this family. Their children were Baptism 1/9/1711 Sarah Mansell. 11/10/1715 John Mansell.8/6/1720 Muriell Mansell I am connected to Muriell as she later married a Henry Taylor from Turkdean. As always any help is always appreciated regarding our ancestors. Thanking you all.  ;D

Janet :)

My brother-in-law, Barry Michael COOK was born in Notgrove and I wondered if there was any connection, although it is a common enough name.
His father was Charles Eric COOK b. 6/8/1911 in Bedfordshire, married a Dorothy Millicent CROOK 1933 in Cheltenham and d. 16/12/1998 in Cheltenham.
Interestingly, I have visited the parish church, St Bartholomew, in Notgrove and in the graveyard, which is very large, there are 4 ancient headstones, an obvious "family group", 2 of which barely yeilds the name "COOK".
The following burials from the National Burial Index may be of interest:-15/01/1813, COOK, Sarah, 65
18/08/1813, COOK, Thomas, 73
28/04/1814, COOK, Henry, 34
11/03/1815, COOK, Rebecca, 76
15/10/1815, COOK, Thomas, 37
23/06/1820, COOK, Anna Maria, 4+

Hello Victor Harvey, thanks very much for your history of the Cook ancestors from Notgrove, I don't know if we are connected or not  as Ann Cook would have been born around the late 1600's.  ;) I had a quick look in the IGI records not sure if she is mentioned or the right one.  ??? Thanks once again for your interest.  :)
