Burials in Birmingham
« on: Saturday 02 July 11 22:08 BST (UK) »
Hi, Can anybody help?
I have the following two death references:
Death Q3 1912 Fanny H Willock aged 62 Birmingham 6d 189
Death Q1 1913 Henry Willock aged 73 Birmingham 6d 225.
Can anybody tell me where they are buried.
I suspect that they may have been husband and wife.
Thanks fr your help
Regards
Brian

If you follow the instructions below - you will find there was no Henry Willock living in the same household as Fanny

USING THE FREE 1911 INDEX TO DETERMINE THE CORRECT HOUSEHOLD

http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx

Once you find a possible match - make a note of the county and district in which the person was living

Return to the index and in PERSONAL DETAILS - just put the surname of the family - nothing else

In LOCATION - Select the county and below it - type in the district

In OTHER MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD - show the full name of the person you have found on the index

Click SEARCH

You will have to buy credits to view the full entry - the above instructions will only help to possibly show others of the same name in the same household

If you check the free 1911 census - there was no Henry Willock of that birthyear in Warwickshire but one is shown in Burton on Trent Staffs

Hi CaroleW,

Thanks for both your replies to my message.

I do have a copy of the 1911 census for Fanny Willock and that clearly states she is a widow.

If you go on ancestry.co.uk and search the 'Public Member Trees'  for Fanny Harriet Audley who married Henry James Whillock, you will see that a number of the trees has Fanny dying in 1912 and her husband Henry James Whillock dying in 1913.

To me this does not square up with the 1911 census, but I cannot find  any record of the death of Henry Whillock (or Willock) at Birmingham between 1901 and 1911. Incidently in the 1861 census to 1891 census inclusive Fanny's husband is given as Henry and in 1901 it is given as James.
If I could find the burial place and grave of the Fanny Willock, who died in 1912 and the Henry Willock who died in 1913 it may help me solve this problem.
Incidently I can find no reference to the marriage between Fanny Harriet Audley and Henry James W(h)illock. Any help on this would be appreciated.
 Regards
Brian

Something doesn't add up.

If Fanny died in 1912 at age 62 then that gives a birth year of 1850, she would only have been 11 in 1861 and unlikely to be married.
