I am trying to find information about my g grandparents Thomas Mcgowan and Mary Teyhan. Thomas was born c1868 and Mary c1871.  I believe Thomas was born in Leitrim Northern Ireland and his parents were John b c1845 and Catherine b c1847.  Catherine's maiden name was also McGowan.  John was a farmer.  Mary Teyhan's parents were Patrick b c1845 and Ann Gillan b c1846.

Do you mean Leitrim the county or is this Leitrim the name of the townland where they lived?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

An Elizabeth Teahan was born to a Patrick Teahan and Anne Gillan 29 January 1868 in Kinlough Leitrim
A Bridget Teahan was born to a Patrick Teahan and Anne Gillan 25th January 1870 Kinlough Leitrim
No sign of a Mary born in same location. Possibly one of above was later known as Mary

I think it is Leitrim the County.  and Kinlough rings a bell with conversations I have heard in the family way back.  Many thanks for your help.
