Thomas and Mary married at Alford Lincs on 18th April 1811. So far I have been unable to trace any children to the marriage. Can anyone help me please? I suspect that Thomas was not a native of Alford and that they may have moved away after the wedding.Mary seems to have been born there in 1784.

Was it not Henry PROCTER?
You will find a child bap only 4 days later
(and other possibilities in Horncastle)

Thanks Geoff. That makes a mess of the tree I was doing unless the wife he married in 1825 was into toy boys!

I'm surprised you didn't look here (top right)

but I actually found it in my Lincs marriage index.

Geoff, I think we have a misunderstanding. it is the son I'm interested in, born 4 days after the wedding. I can't find him. Found the wedding on the Lincs to the past site.

Yes we do Roger.
You suggested the bridegroom was Thomas PROCTOR. I said no, it was Henry who married.
The early child was Mary (dau of Henry and Mary PROCTOR, soldier)

Looking at the register, 22 April was the birth date and 28 April the baptism.

Thanks for clearing that one up Geoff. I was for some inexplicable reason other than senility looking for henry as the son of Thomas.I am attempting to connect the Louth/Alford Proctors to those at Harmston. The fact the child was a girl destroys the entire theorem. It looked so good last night.
