John David Johnson death COMPLETED

In 1930 census John/JD was born abt 1897 Kansas and living in Pocatello Bannock Idaho. He married Juanita Bayliss 29 Sep 1921 Pocatello. According to son James obituary in 1950 John was deceased. Juanita had left the family by 1930 and gone to Los Angeles.
Can anyone find his death?

A WWII Draft Registration Card shows John David Johnson, b. 7 Apr. 1896 in Soldier, Kansas and living in Pocatello, Idaho.  That was from 27 Apr. 1942.

I found John's obituary, but it's quite hard to read.  It mentions the daughter Mrs. Hanke who was referenced in the son John's information, as well as a stepchild.

In case you want to follow this line to the end, I found an article from the Idaho State Journal from 22 Feb. 1959 about Cleo V. Hanke, daughter of Mrs. Gladys Johnson, getting married Edmund R. Zentkowski.  Cleo & Edmund both show up on the Social Security Death Index with last residence of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.  If you do a Google search for Johnson Zentkowski, an obit should come up for Cleo.

A Mrs Gladys Johnson must mean that Juanita and John David divorced sometime between1930 and 1939 when Juanita turned up in Hawaii as Juanita Hart which leads to the next question of who did Juanita marry?

The 1936-1937 Pocatello city directory has John D. Johnson listed with Gladys as his wife.  Subsequent directories list her as Gladys M. Johnson.

Since no wife was listed with John for the 1930 Census but he showed as married, maybe John was already married to Gladys at that point?

John D and Juanita were still married in 1930. Juanita Johnson was in Los Angeles so the divorce took place 1930-36. The time frame gets narrower for the divorce and John's subsequent marriage.

John David married Gladys Crafton 30 Nov 1936 Blackfoot Bingham Idaho. That leaves who and when did Juanita marry?
