Hi,

Has anyone done any research into the history of Boreham.  I visited there last weekend as some of my ancestors have gravestones in St Andrews Church but I believe they were probably Catholic, they worked at New Hall, Boreham.

I would like to get more information on what would be at New Hall in the mid to late 1800's, is there a book that is published locally the I could buy.

In 2006 the book New Hall and its school, by Tony Tuckwell, was published.

The school moved to New Hall in January 1799.

Chapter 21: New Hall 1860 - 1889.
There were around 50 pupils although this number fluctuated from year to year over this period (33 - 60.)
