Hi there,

My ancestor Ann STUART or STEWART was born c. 1817.

She was living in Whitby, North Yorkshire by 1835 as this was where she married her husband Isaac Pattison a tinner.  She died in Hartlepool, County Durham in 1871.

Her birthplace is a bit of a mystery.  In 1841 she states she was born in Yorkshire, but the 1851/61/71 all seem to show she was born in about Kendel, Westmoreland/Lancaster, Lancashire/Penrith, Cumbria area.  There are some releveant baptisms but I don't know which one to go with, or if any fit at the minute.

How can I confirm which baptism is mine?
