I am researching the name Halstead. My great great grandfather was Samuel Halstead b 4 January 1805, married Mary Ann Collis 1830. Samuels father was Isaac b 1771, and here is where i am stuck, I think Isaac married Sarah Smith b 1781. If anyone has some information on his ancestors I would love to hear from you.

IGI has a baptism for Samuel 17.2.1805
father Isaac mother Sarah
as Halsted
Southminster Essex.
Not sure if this is Jack's family

My Isaac Halstead or Halsted, was born 1 September 1771 ,married Sarah Smith 5 July 1798 at Ipswich Suffolk, died January 1841.
His Father Samuel Halstead or Halsted born 1741 Suffolk ,died january 1819 Hartest Suffolk, Married Mary Clark? born 1738 Suffolk.
Who was his father ?

Isaac Halstead b1771 m.Sarah Smith 1771 moved to Southminster Essex
where their 10 children were born.

Isaac's father was Samuel Halstead b1740 m. Mary Clark 19th Jan 1764 Rede, Suffolk.

Samuel Halstead's father was Martin Halstead b1708 Lavenham m. Ester Boreham 3 June 1733

Martin Halstead's father was Samuel b1678 Lavenham Suffolk m. Mary King 27th May 1706 St Gregory, Sudbury suffolk
Martin Halstead's father was Samuel HALSTEAD bc 1650 Lavenham Suffolk
HALSTEAD Essex, Australia,EVERETT Essex,  BIDDLE, Leicester and Rome Italy, GRUNOW, Adolph b1858 Berlin Germany
Soratapassenger on  ship to Australia 1800 , PICKUP Lanc, NICOL Sct, Joseph Smith and Margaret Holmes Convicts to Australia 2nd fleet and 3rd fleet

The Halstead family from Southminster emigrated to Sydney Australia in the mid to late 1880's

Isaac and Mary Hastead's grandsons,Samuel, Laban, James and Isaac and granddaughter Mary Ann(Bridge ) settled in the North Sydney area.Some were ferry boat masters .
James Halstead established a North Shore Ferry Boat Company .He and other Halstead descendants are buried at Gore Hill historic Cemetery.
