Hayward of Llanbradach
« on: Monday 18 July 11 18:16 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace a Jack/John Hayward born in Grove Street Llanbradach to Charles and Sarah Hayward.  He was born in 1905 and died in 1987 in Leatherhead Surrey.  When his mother died in 1908 he was taken from the rest of the family and either adopted or fostered because he kept his name.  Until a few months ago no-one knew  of his existence.  Any information would be appreciated.

HI Penped
   Would this be him?

John      Hayward  aged 5 born 1906  Pontypridd ,nephew of Eliza and Enamuel Hayward    he`s a bricklayer aged 29 she`s 10 years older ,both lodgers . married in Thornton heath.
Enamuels birth place could be Mamoel/ Mamhilid transcribes as Mamhull. hope this helps maybe Enamuel is a brother of John`s dad

Hi Dragongirl, Thank you very much, it looks as though you have solved a family problem for me!  I have had relatives in Australia e-mailing about Emannuel but couldn't connect it to John.  I wish when people are given a name they stick to and not use another.  I do know that John is usually changed to Jack but it is so annoying.

Thanks again.

Karen

Hi Caridff, Thank you for your help, it is so annoying that I haven't been able to find him but the last place I thought he would be is on the outskirts of London, I was thinking more along the lines of Gilfach Goch!  At least  the Australia side will be pleased if nothing else!!!
