Patrick and Nora (O'Brien) Keane
« on: Monday 18 July 11 20:36 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Any help would be appreciated. I am looking for some kind of birth record for either Patrick and/or Nora. I don't have a birthdate for either one and the records all seem to contradict each other.
Nora's parents are Michael O'Brien and Ellen Donovan.
Patrick Joseph Keane's parents are Martin Keane and Nora Fey. My best guess is they were born in the 1890s.
Unfortunately, most of their U.S. records say they came from Galway. Once and a while, a record says one of them comes from Cork.
Thanks again.

Have you found Patrick and Nora on any US census records ?
It would probably help your search if you had even approximate years of birth for them.

Did Patrick and Nora marry in Ireland ?

They married in Somerville, MA. Someone helping sent a U.S. census that I'm trying to figure out. I know everyone record that has a space for birthday says it cannot be determined. Plus, the dates don't match on their deaths and marriage records. But I will go back to the census. Thanks.

Shane,
Thanks. I found a Patrick Keane in Clarinbridge, Galway with a father Martin whose age matches appropriately with some of the stuff I have.

I don't Know. Patrick's father is Martin, but it his marriage license says his mother is named Norah. I might have to keep looking.

Honor could be a variation of Honora or Nora...

I've been having a look  for the marriage of Martin Keane and a possible Nora... but no luck so far.  Unfortunately there a four townlands named Tonroe in Co. Galway so I'm trying to work out which one this family lived in... plus Keane is quite a common surname in the area..

Although I wonder if Patrick's mother could have died because one of those had no wife listed at all.
