Immigrants to England from Northern Ireland
« on: Tuesday 19 July 11 13:08 BST (UK) »
Is there any way of tracing when my grandmother, Maggie (Margaret/Peggy) McCleary came over to England from Northern Ireland? She was born and bred in Lurgan (dob 12/4/1902). She attended Queens University Belfast from 1920, possibly until around 1924, studying medicine (she didn't qualify - I checked with them). I know she married my grandfather in London in 1939 but have no idea of the years in between. Any ideas where to start?
