I would greatly appreciate any information on the families of Millington/Mellington of Peplow--monumental inscriptions for Hodnet. george and Ann Millington had son James born 1784.

Can I point out that on the 3 records on IGI of James Millington ( one Mellington ) christening on 16th May 1784 Hodnet ,Shropshire , they ALL state mother Mary ...not Ann as you have, though to be fair ALL records are submitted and not extracted

George Millington married Mary Wright 26th september 1773 Stanton upon Hine Heath, Shropshire
could this be the parents of James Millington ??

ADDED...just checked on MapquestUK...Hodnet to Stanton upon Hine Heath is 5 miles....so more than likely your George and Mary - parents of James Millington....so....1773 marriage to 1784 .birth of James ..11 years...there has to be siblings for James I would think ...

George Mellington christened 25th nov 1779 Hodnet ,Shrops   parents George and Mary
Mary Mellington christened 26th nov 1777 Hodnet, shrops     George and Mary
Elizabeth Mellington christened 12 dec 1775 Hodnet - George and Mary

I just guessed at these names...same as mum and dad ...and Elizabeth is always popular...no John or Sarah...other popular names....I would imagine there are more siblings for James ..1779- 1784 may produce one or two more .....good luck.....allan ;)
