REED Family - Somersetshire

I am new at this so please forgive my stupidity. I have Job Reed (b:Nov 12 1841) married to Mary Elizabeth Hobbs(b:Jul 10 1848) on May 30 1869. I am trying to follow both of these lines back and I think I have found Job Reed's father Richard Reed (b:1808) married to Elizabeth Mary Farthing (b: Mar 11 1810). But I cannot confirm that. I read an earlier post where it appears the Reed family had trouble deciding how to spell their name so that may be my problem.

If anyone can help I would sure appreciate it. Job Reed is my great great grandfather.

the easiest way would be to get jobs birth cert that would give you his fathers name and also his mothers maiden name
if it matches with the marriage you think is right then you will have the right marriage

Middlezoy, Bridgewater, Somerset.
Richard Reed. age 40. Blacksmith. Born Bishops Hull, Somerset.
Elizabeth (wife). age 50.
William (son). age 14. Born Middlezoy.
Jane (daughter). age 11. Born Middlezoy.
Job (son). age 9. Born Moorlinch.

This is from the actual return not the transcription and was the only Job that turned up.

Checked the 1841 census and the ages are correct (10 yrs age difference), but living at Moorlinch.

Found this marriage, which is a possible in view of the age difference.

Richard Reed and Elizabeth Andrews (widow). July 11th 1833 at Taunton St Mary Magdalen.
Witnesses were Sarah & Abraham Farthing.

1861 census says Elizabeth was born in Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton.

Details: Middlezoy Street, Middlezoy, Bridgewater.
Elizabeth Reed (head) widow. age 62. Formerly Blacksmiths wife.
Job (son). age 19. Blacksmith Apprentice.
