I have been researching my ancestor 'Richard Darby', christened Sep 1638 in Chislet, Kent.
I believe his parents were John Darby and Elizabeth Doble, who married Oct 1637, Chislet.
I'm interested in John Darby and would be grateful if anyone was able to find out his birth/christening/parents. I feel that he would probably have been born around about 1610 - 1620 in or near to Chislet, (none of the family seem to have travelled much further than Thanet/Chislet/Hoath in the last 400 years.)
