I am very excited to have found this particular website.  I have been extremely impressed with everyone's ability to assist each other in finding family history.
I greatly need some help going further into my O'Neil family tree.

My 4GGF was Andrew O'Neil b: Oct 1803, Carnbrae, Lanarshire, Scotland.  He married (7 Nov 1826, Old Monkland, Scotland) Agnes Baird b: 24 Apr 1808, Faskine Old Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland
I do not have either of their death places or dates.

My 5GGF was Archibald Baird O'Neil b: not sure but abt 1770 Scotland.  His wife I believe was a Margery Ferguson b: 21 Feb 1770 Scotland d: Jan 1845.
I cannot find his birth place or date of birth nor can I find their marriage date.  I do not have any other siblings other than Andrew.

My 6GGF is believed to be John O'Neil born somewhere in Scotland app 1755.

If anyone out there could direct my paths as to John O'Neil and my other questions, I would be so indebted and thankful to you.

How did you arrive at Andrew O'Neil being your ancestor?

You really need his death record after 1855 to confirm his parents

I can trace my father Andrew B. Neil to my grandfather Archie Neil (m: Hannah A Kiddy) to my great grandfather (m: Elizabeth Armstrong) to my 2GGF Archibald Baird Neil (m: Agnes Wilson) to my 3GGF Andrew O'Neil (m: Agnes Baird) to my 4GGF Archibald Baird O'Neil.

I can't see the marriage banns on the OPR's for Andrew and Agnes and I can't find a death for him in the statutory records so it looks like he died 1851-1854. It now makes it a lot harder to confirm parentage and the 2 census records showing his birth as Jersey and Scotland is not helping.
You may need to view the original census image for 1851 to make sure it is not a transcription error. None of the records so far refer to the family as O'Neil.
