and  Louisa Pearson aged abt 20

Marriage on the 1871/1861 census or living with there parents

they got married in Jun quarter 1871

Looks like Joseph is with his mum (only) in 1871 - Court 7 Edward Street, Sheffield.

You will note that Ellen is 60 in the 1861 and then 78 in 1871.  I have re-checked the originals and both have transcribed the ages that are written on the original census - 60 and then 78 ?

Do you know any more about Louisa Pearson ?  I can find an 18 year old Louisa in Sheffield, daughter of William and Ann .. may she be the right one?
