Richard Sampson --Burma

I am trying to find out about this man,all i know is he fought in Burma and was mentioned in dispatches.His son is married to my aunt and  im  trying to help out. seemly he never spoke about the war.I have heard something about the Lincolnshires,Gurkhas,and he was an army boxer.Thats all. Any help ,tips woul be greatly appreciated.

You could try contacting the local Burma Star Association via your British Legion Branch. The veterans have a lot of knowledge and contacts and have helped me in my research in the past.

Hi,thanks for replying.i live in republic of ireland and there are no Burma Star assoc. im not sure about The British Legion ,i will have to check that out.

The Burma Star have a good website. If you google it and contact them.
